Lasso

Lasso is Lluis' latest composition project. It combines his influences and studies in both composition and improvisation in a large conducted ensemble. The written material explores combinations of various instruments and aims to expand upon the material developed in Noose, again with focus on the written word – this time adding settings of Lluis' own text to music. The instrumentation for the ensemble is Flute, Female Voice, Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, two Trumpets, Trombone, Viola, Piano, and Double Bass. Recordings of the first album are due in autumn 2011.
